MANKATO, Minn. - Minnesota State men's hockey remained ranked No. 14 in both USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live NCAA Division I polls this week, following a sweep over Michigan Tech Friday and Saturday night in Mankato. Friday night,
Alex Tracy collected his ninth career shutout in goal while
Reid Morich and
Alex Zetterberg notched their first career goals with the Mavericks in a 3-0 victory. Saturday, MSU earned a 3-2 result and the team did not surrender an even strength goal to the Huskies.
University of Michigan (13-3) rose to No. 1 in both polls this week, following a sweep over Ohio State. Wisconsin, Michigan State, Denver and Minnesota Duluth rounded out the top five. The Mavericks were the only team in the CCHA ranked in the top-20, though Bemidji State and Augustana received national votes.
Minnesota State men's hockey (8-2-4, 5-1-2 CCHA) heads to Marquette for a conference series at Northern Michigan. Game times are 6:07 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 28 and 5:07 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 29.
