About St. Cloud State: The No. 6 Huskies currently hold a 8-1 overall record, with a perfect 3-0 conference record. St. Cloud State has six ranked wrestlers, including No. 1 Nick Novak at 157 pounds. Head coach, Steve Costanzo, is in his 18th season with the Huskies and has a overall record of 264-31.
 

Last Time Out: Minnesota State hosted Minot State and University of Mary this past weekend, falling to Minot State 22-14 and to UMary 24-18.

The Makovsky File: In his 31st year with Minnesota State, head coach Jim Makovsky holds an impressive 304-136-3 career record, the most in program history. Makovsky has coached 12 Individual National Champions, 96 NCAA All-Americans, and has been inducted into the NCAA DII Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame.
 

National Appearances: Minnesota State made an appearance on the podium in the 2022-23 season with senior Darrell Mason, at 285 lb., finishing third. Mason held a 17-4 record, became a two-time NCAA All-American, and earned the Minnesota State Senior Male Athlete of the Year Honor. Mason was also the national champion at 285 lb. his junior year with a perfect 22-0 record.
