MANKATO, Minn. --- No. 5 Minnesota State will travel to University of Mary and Minot State for its second consecutive weekend on the road. The Mavericks take on the Marauders on Friday at 3 p.m. and the Beavers at Noon on Sunday.
Last week, MSU battled No. 20 Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul going a perfect 2-0 on the weekend. Both games were decided off the foot of freshman
Maddix Archer, who collected her first pair of goals in the purple and gold. Senior
Mackenzie Rath collected her 34th career win and 27th career shutout while also notching her 200th career save against CSP. Minnesota State will head into this weekend with an overall record of 4-1-1.
Facing UMARY: Heading into the 19th matchup with the University of Mary, the Mavericks are a dominant 14-1-3 in their last 18 matches against the Marauders. UMary has gone 1-2-1 in non-conference play and 1-3-2 overall this season with its only win coming against NSIC rival Minnesota State Moorhead. UMary went 0-1-1 last weekend to start conference play and dropped its first game to Minot while holding MSU Moorhead to a scoreless draw. Last season, the Marauders finished seventh in the 2022 NSIC rankings with a 7-4-4 conference record and a 10-5-4 overall record.
Scouting the Marauders: University of Mary's offense is led by junior

MaLiah Burke. Park helped the Marauders with seven goals and 17 points last season while also registering three game-winning-goals. However, last season's point leader has yet to find the scoresheet this fall. Burke added to the Marauder offense this season with a goal and an assist. In goal, junior
Molly Fischer holds the line for UMary and has started all six games. She owns a .767 save percentage and a 1.17 goals-against average for a 1-3-2 record.
Facing MINOT: Heading into the 16th matchup with Minot, the Mavericks are 9-1-5 in their last 15 bouts with the Beavers. The Beavers are 1-1-0 in conference play and own a 4-2-0 overall record. Last season, Minot State finished fourth in the 2022 NSIC rankings with an 8-1-6 conference record and a 9-3-9 overall record. The Beavers downed the Mavericks in the 2022 NSIC Tournament after winning in penalty kicks following a scoreless draw. Minot later fell to BSU in the NSIC Tournament Championship by a final of 2-0 in double overtime.
