Mankato, Minn. --- Minnesota State travels to Mandan, North Dakota to play in the NSIC tournament. The second seed Mavericks will face the seventh seed Winona State Warrior in the first round on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at BNC Field.

Facing WSU
Minnesota State is 26-8 in its all-time series vs. Winona State. The Mavericks hosted the Warrior at Bowyer Field on April 26 as the Mavericks split the midweek doubleheader with WSU. The Warriors come into the tournament as the seventh seed owning a 22-27 overall record and an 18-16 NSIC record.
 
They own a team batting average of .305 and a .418 slugging percentage. When pitching, the Golden Eagles sport a team earned a run average of 7.15 and an opponent batting average of .310.
 
Last Time on the Diamond
MSU swept its final two series against Wayne State and Concordia St. Paul. The Mavericks are coming into the tournament hot owning a 40-14 run margin over the course of the last five games.
