Opening up the day in the invitational discus event, Aguilera took first place with a throw of 54.02 m (177' 3"). He now ranks 5th in the nation overall and provisionally qualifies. Wieser competed in the open discus events, placing ninth and throwing for 39.7 m (130' 3").

Wieser shot through the ranks in the invitational shot put event. Throwing for a personal record of 15.57 m (51' 1"), Wieser finished in third.

In the final event for the Mavericks, Aguilera placed sixth in the invitational hammer event. His throw of 53.22 m (174' 7") is a personal best and moves him to 5th on the MSU all-time top performances list. Wieser placed tenth by throwing for 38.69 m (126' 11") in the open hammer event.

Next action scheduled for Minnesota State is the M City Classic, hosted in Minneapolis, Minn. on Wednesday, April 19th.
