Minnesota State is set to compete in the RussMatt Invitational playing eight games in seven days from March 2-8 in Davenport, Fla. The Mavericks will take on seven different opponents throughout the week-long tournament.

 Dylan Gotto led Minnesota State past Lindenwood University on Saturday in its first doubleheader of the season. Both pitchers combined for 14 innings of work while only allowing a run each. The Mavericks tamed the lions in both games Saturday with finals of 7-1 and 3-1.
The Mavericks fell to Lindenwood in the final game of the series 4-2 after the Mavericks sent a season-high eight pitchers to the mound on Sunday.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
MSU wrapped up last season 39-9 overall with a 28-5 in NSIC action. The Mavericks were the NSIC tournament champions before going 0-2 in the 2022 NCAA DII Central Regional in Warrensburg, Mo.
Mavericks in the NCBWA Poll
The Mavericks were ranked #23 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association Division II Top 25 Preseason Poll (January 25). MSU will head into the RussMatt invitational unranked in the latest NCBWA Poll (March 1). The Mavericks are receiving votes.
