MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team improved to 14th in the most recent edition of the WBCA Poll.

MSU, which was ranked 17th last week, improved three spots in the poll after defeating Southwest Minnesota State (81-70) and Sioux Falls (71-61) at home last weekend.

The Mavericks are one of two NSIC teams ranked in the top-25. Minnesota Duluth improved four spots and is tied with Colorado School of Mines for the 12th spot in the poll. Augustana is receiving votes.

Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Friday as it takes on the Wayne State Wildcats. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
