St. Cloud, Minn. – Minnesota State took a hard loss this weekend against No. 5 St. Cloud State on the road as the Mavericks fell by the score of 40-0. 
 
The dual started at 165 lb. Halfway through the dual, MSU's #7 Darrell Mason took a 7-1 decision loss to SCSU's Elijah Novak at the 285 lbs. Two matches later, #11 Alyeus Craig, of St. Cloud, gave #12 Brock Luthens, of Minnesota State, a 6-0 decision loss at 141 lb., in a hard-fought battle between two ranked opponents.  
 
Minnesota State is back on the road in Aberdeen, S.D., against Northern State on Friday, Jan. 27.
