ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's track and field team traveled to Gustavus Adolphus College to take part in the Gustie Twilight Wednesday evening.
In the hammer throw Carter Aguilera and Nicholas Hudson finished second and third in the event with throws of 166' 8'' (50.80m) and 161' 11'' (49.37m), respectively.
The Mavericks took the top three spots in the high jump with Jacob Ziebarth claiming victory with a height of 6' 6'' (1.98m).
Carson Dittel placed first in the pole vault with a height of 16' 0.75'' (4.90m). Dittel ranks 14th in the country. Thomas Lindsey finished second with the same mark and his provisional marking ranks tied for 23rd in the nation.
In the 400m dash freshman Kyler Bade won the event with a time of 50.55. Freshman Quinn Walker finished third with a time of 53.04.
Ezekiel Clark took home the top prize in the 100m dash with a mark of 10.81.
Aguilera and Oliver Andersen finished first and second in the discus throw with marks of 160' (48.77m) and 137' 6'' (41.91m).
In the 800m run sophomore Maquanet Collins was victorious with a time of 1:58.74. Junior Will Valentin finished third with a time of 2:01.44.
Jeremiah Revere won the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.28. Clark finished third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.97.
In the shot put the Mavericks took home the top three spots on the podium with Steven Orzolek winnings with a toss of 52' 9.5'' (16.09m).
The Mavericks return to action tomorrow as the begin the first of three days of the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
