MINNEAPOLIS --- The Minnesota State men's and women's track and field teams put together solid performances at the Gary Wilson Invitational Wednesday.
The Mavericks continue their week in Des Moines, Iowa, as they compete in the Drake Relays through Saturday.
Women
Aubri Brown led the Mavericks in the shot put event as she finished fourth with a throw of 45.88m (150-6). Brown also recorded the ninth best throw in DII in the hammer throw as she finished fifth with a mark of 57.35m (188-2).
Lauren Bird recorded the 41st longest throw in the hammer throw event as well with a toss of 52.27m (171-6).
Emilynn Molesky posted the 66th fastest time in the 100m hurdles in DII this season with a time of 14.40.
Tara Hertling took third place in the 3,000m steeplechase as she recorded a personal best time of 11:13.22.
Addison Peed took fourth place in the 1,500m event with a time of 5:03.22.
Mileena Sullivan finished in fifth place in the 5,000m event with a time of 18:05.36 as well.
Men
Keatin Wattier posted a time of 14.00 in the 110m hurdles to finish second. His time of 14.00 also ranks 11th in Division II.
In the 400m,
Oluwadamilola Babalola finished second in the 400m event with a time of 48.76.
Logan Weninger took sixth place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.21 as well.
In the 5,000m event,
Benjamin Geeslin took second place with a time of 16:34.97.
Dylan Gross finished third in the discus with a throw of 52.47m (172-1).
Ben Wieser took fourth place in the shot put (16.64m, 54-7.25) and 14th in the hammer throw (47.42m, 155-7) as well.
In the pole vault,
Thomas Alrick finished fourth with a mark of 4.43m (14-6.25), with
Ryan Heiden following in fifth with a mark of 4.28m (14-0.25).
