BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State's
Rinaldo Moore and
Hayden Bills have earned NSIC weekly awards for their efforts this past week.
Moore was named the NSIC Track Athlete of the Week, while Bills garnered NSIC Field Athlete of the Week honors.
A senior from Port au Spain, Trinidad and Tobago,
Rinaldo Moore won the 110m hurdles (13.67) at the Stomper Open and the 400m hurdles (51.18) at the Minnesota State Open this past week. His times rank second and third in NCAA Division II, respectively. Moore was also a member of the 4x100 relay team (40.63) that took first place at the Minnesota State Open with a provisional qualifying time.
A sophomore from Rosemount, Minn.,
Hayden Bills set an MSU record in the discus (59.35m, 194-9.5) at the Minnesota State Open, which is the best throw in Division II this season. He also won the shot put (18.52m, 60-9.25) event at the Stomper Open, which ranks fourth in Division II.
Minnesota State continues its season at the Pitt State Tune Up in Pittsburg, Kan., on Sunday.
