MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's track and field team took part in multiple meets today including day two of the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. The Mavericks also participated in the first day of the Long Beach Invite on the campus on Long Beach State University.
At the Bryan Clay Invite, Abel Christiansen finished ninth in the 110 hurdles with a NCAA provisional time of 14.37 which is tied for 27th in the nation.
In the 100m dash, Daniel Attoh finished 33rd with a mark of 10.82. Prince Nti finished 38th with a time of 10.85.
Christiansen went on to finish 20th in the 400m hurdles with a mark of 54.22.
In the 200m dash Attoh finished 52nd in the event with a time of 21.97. Nti finished 58th with a time of 22.03.
Caleb Kath finished 11th in the long jump with a distance of 23' 10.25'' (7.27m) which is tied for 23rd in the nation.
At the Long Beach Invite, Carter Aguilera finished 48th in the hammer throw with a toss of 150' 11'' (46.01m).
At the Mt. SAC Relays, Nicholas Sharmaa finished 56th with a time of 10.74.
In the 400m hurdles, Drew Lewison finished 39th with a time of 54.71.
Tanner Maier placed 12th in the 800m run with a time of 1:49.52. Maier is fourth in the nation in the event.
In the javelin throw Kevin Wu finished 10th with a heave of 190' (57.91m). Wu sits 22nd in the nation in the event.
Onyekachi Ukaobasi finished 17th in the triple jump with a leap of 46' 6.25'' (14.18m).
In the high jump, Deveyonn Brown finished 10th in the high jump with a height of 6' 8.75'' (2.05m) which is a NCAA provisional mark that is tied for 21st in the country.
Carson Dittel finished third in pole vault with a height of 16' 6.75'' (5.05m). Dittel currently sits 12th in the nation.
The Mavericks return to action tomorrow to finish the Long Beach Invite and on Wednesday the Mavericks travel to Minneapolis, Minn., on the campus of the University of Minnesota to take part in the Brave Like Gabe Invite.
