ST. PAUL, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's track and field team traveled to the St. Thomas University as they were set to compete in the Tom Cat Invitational Wednesday night.
In the 3000m steeplechase sophomore
Carter Owen finished third with a time of 10:05.49.
Sophomore
Ray Ure finished second in the 1500m run with a time of 4:02.95.
In the 110m hurdles, junior
Nick Durnin claimed victory with a time of 14.77 and junior
Justus Adams finished third with a mark of 14.87.
Three Mavericks finished in the top five of the 400m dash. Junior
Kenry Atubel finished second with a time of 50.00,
Carter Nesvold finished third with a time of 50.10, and
Max DePrenger finished fourth with a mark of 50.13.
In the 100m dash, freshman
Ezekiel Clark finished third with a time of 11.03 and freshman
Steven Marks took home fifth with a time of 11.12.
Sophomore
Jeremiah Revere was victorious in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.93 and Ure finished fourth with a mark of 58.12.
In the 200m dash three Mavericks placed in the top five in the event. Atubel finished second with a time of 22.05. Nesvold took home third with a performance of 22.06 and
Josue Bokoyo finished fifth with a mark of 22.66.
Freshman
Jacob Ziebarth and
Aiden Buendorf finished third and fourth with jumps of 6' 6.75'' (2.00m) and 6' 4.75 (1.95m), respectively.
Sophomore
Thomas Lindsey finished second in the pole vault with a leap of 14' 7.25'' (4.45m).
In the long jump, freshman
Slade Heald finished second with a distance of 22' 5.25'' (6.84m).
Junior
Stephen Ayobamidele finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 40' 11'' (12.47m).
The Mavericks return to action in multiple meets this week as they will take part in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif., the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., and the Long Beach Invite in Long Beach, Calif.
