Mankato, Minn.--- Minnesota State's
Jenny Vetter has been named the Academic All-American DII Women's Soccer Player of the Year.
She was named a United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American and was a First Team D2CCA All-Central Region and All-NSIC honoree this year. A four-time Academic All-America selection, Vetter possesses a perfect 4.0 GPA as a biology major. Vetter is the only Maverick in school history to receive four Academic All-American honors.
The senior forward led the Mavericks in 2022 with 12 goals and 28 points and for her career ranks third all-time with Minnesota State in goals with 57, third in points with 132 and first all-time in game-winning goals with 24. Earlier this season, Vetter was named to the All-NSIC First Team for the third time in her career.
Vetter is the third Maverick to receive the Academic All-American Player of the Year award for their respected sport joining
Lisa Walters (Basketball, 1988) and
Kendra Huettl (Softball, 2012).
