MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team won a total of 13 events during its dual against MSU Moorhead Saturday afternoon as the Mavericks bested the Dragons 175-69.
The Mavericks now own a 7-1 record in duals this season.
The Mavericks won both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay events. The team of seniors
Anja Enervold, senior
Emily Goodman,
Kayla Rinderknecht and
Alexa Lofgren posted a time of 1:49.69 in the 200 medley relay, while the quartet of senior
Kate Flynn, senior
Amanda Jordan, Rinderknecht and Enervold posted a time of 1:39.12 in the 200 freestyle relay.
Goodman won a pair of individual events as well as she won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.91) and 200 IM (2:13.67) events. Junior
Nicole Beckman won two events also, including the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:18.75 and the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.42.
Freshman
Abby Gronholz won the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.88, while Enervold won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:06.47. Senior
Nikki Ault finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.69), while Flynn won the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.26.
Junior
Darah Coleman took first in the 200 breaststroke event with a time of 2:30.70 also, while junior
Sara Anderson won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:38.46. Freshman Sienne Sirek-Kreye won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:23.02 as well.
Minnesota State continues its season on Wednesday, Feb. 9, as it takes part in the four-day NSIC Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D.
