ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team dropped a pair of duals Sunday in St. Peter, Minn., as the Mavericks fell to Gustavus Adolphus 9-0 and Southwest Minnesota State 7-0.
MSU now owns a 2-10 overall record, including a 1-6 NSIC record.
Minnesota State began the day with a 9-0 loss to Gustavus Adolphus.
The Gusties began the day winning the three doubles matches to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Junior

Dee Dokken put up the best effort in the No. 1 doubles match by they fell to Hannah Borgh and Hayley Trebil by the score of 8-6.
Gustavus Adolphus then won all six of the singles matches to complete the sweep. Washa went to a deciding third set against Rachel Linrud in the No. 1 singles match but Linrud was able to come away with the 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 win.
MSU finished the day with a 7-0 loss against Southwest Minnesota State.
The Mustangs won all three of the doubles matches to claim the first point of the dual. Washa and Dokken fell in the No. 1 doubles match by the score of 6-2.
SMSU then went on to win all six of the singles matches in straight sets to complete the 7-0 sweep. Sophomore
Kjerstin Hall dropped a 6-0, 7-5 decision in the No. 4 singles match to Gwendolen Sior, while freshman
Abigail Clayton fell 6-4, 6-1 to Maja Louisa Harck in the No. 5 singles match.
Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Friday as it takes on Winona State. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
