MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State swimming and diving team won a pair of duals Saturday at home as it bested both Sioux Falls and Jamestown.
Minnesota State defeated USF 152-141 and Jamestown 234-59 to improve to 4-1 in dual action this season. Sioux Falls defeated Jamestown 186-89. In total the Mavericks won five events against the Cougars and the Jimmies.

Sydney Hanson won both diving events as she posted a score of 237.65 in the 3-meter diving event and a score of 240.15 in the 1-meter diving event. The MSU 200 freestyle relay team of sophomore

Kate Flynn won the event with a time of 1:38.71.
Freshman
Sienna Sirek Kreye took first place in the 1,000 freestyle event with a time of 11:16.62, while Flynn won the 100 freestyle event with a time of 54.12, with DeFever following behind in second place with a time of 54.56.
Enervold took second place in the 100 backstroke (59.44) and 200 backstroke (2:08.13) events, while junior
Darah Coleman took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.26). Flynn also took second place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.90, while senior
Emily Goodman claimed second place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.29.
Minnesota State returns to action on Saturday, November 6 as it takes on both Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Stevens Point at 1:00 p.m. MSU will host the diving events, while Gustavus Adolphus hosts the swimming events in St. Peter, Minn.
