ST. CLOUD, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team won a total of eight events Thursday evening as it bested St. Cloud State 172-128
With the win, MSU improves to 4-0 on the season, while SCSU drops to 0-3 in dual action.
Junior
Anja Enervold won a pair of individual events including the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke with times of 59.17 and 2:06.17, respectively.
Freshman
Olivia Meinberg won the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.14, while freshman
Ella DeFever took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.84. Senior
Emelia Selky won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:18.33 also.
Junior
Emily Goodman and sophomore
Addison Henkaline each won an individual event as well. Goodman finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07.21, while Henkaline posted a time of 4:42.44 in the 400 IM.
The Mavericks also finished first in the 400 medley relay event as the team of Enervold, Goodman, junior
Kayla Rinderknecht and DeFever posted a time of 3:58.53.
Sophomore
Ayla Taylor took fifth place in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 218.00, while freshman
Ella Kelm finished fifth in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 189.30 as well.
Minnesota State returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 28, as it hosts Southwest Minnesota State. Diving events are scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., with the swimming events set to follow at 6:00 p.m.
