BEMIDJI, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team split a pair of duals Saturday as it fell to Bemidji State 7-0, before sweeping Minnesota Crookston 5-0.
Minnesota State now owns a 5-6 overall record, including a 3-4 NSIC record.
The Mavericks began the day with a 7-0 loss to Bemidji State. BSU won all three of the doubles matches to secure the dual's first point. Senior

Abby Smith put forth the best effort in the No. 3 doubles match, but they fell by the score of 6-3.
The Beavers then won all of the singles matches to lock down the 7-0 win. Junior
Monika Ryan forced a third set vs. Ariadna Lopez in the No. 2 singles match but Lopez managed to get the 6-1, 6-7, 6-4 win. Sophomore
Camila Ojeda also forced a third set in the No. 4 singles match vs. Brooke Mimmack, but she fell by the scores of 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.
Minnesota State finished the day with a 5-0 win over Minnesota Crookston. The Mavericks gained the first point of the dual as they won all three of the doubles matches by the score of 6-0. Senior
Erin Streeter and Ryan prevailed in the No. 1 doubles match, while sophomore
Tyanna Washa and Ojeda won the No. 2 doubles match. The duo of Bresnahan and Smith won the No. 3 doubles match as well.
The Mavericks then went on to win four of the singles matches, while the other two went unfinished. Streeter and Ojeda turned in 6-0, 6-0 wins in the No. 1 and No. 4 singles matches, respectively, while Ryan tallied a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 2 singles match. Washa added a 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 3 singles match as well.
Minnesota State begins its spring break trip in Orlando, Fla., on Monday as it takes on Concordia College-New York. The dual is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
