14 Mavericks Named to the WCHA All-Academic Team

Bloomington, Minn. --- Fourteen Minnesota State women's hockey student-athletes have been selected to the 2018-19 Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team, as announced by conference officials on Thursday.

The Mavericks named to the WCHA All-Academic Team are: senior forward Emily Antony (Plymouth, Minn.); senior goaltender Katie Bidulka (Oakville, Ontario); senior forward Corbin Boyd (Minnetonka, Minn.); junior goaltender Chloe Crosby (Lakeville, Minn.); senior defenseman Lena Dusterhoft (Munich, Germany); sophomore forward Brittyn Fleming (Oregon, Wis.); junior forward Taylor Gulenchyn (Stillwater, Minn.); senior defenseman Megan Hinze (Carver, Minn.); junior defenseman Jordan Jackson (Maplewood, Minn.); senior forward Rebekah Kolstad (Mankato, Minn.); sophomore defenseman Jessica Kondas (Calgary, Alberta); senior forward Jordan McLaughlin (Grand Rapids, Minn.); junior forward Sofia Poinar (Chanhassen, Minn.) and junior defenseman McKenzie Sederberg (Andover, Minn.).

To qualify for the WCHA All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed one year of eligibility at present institution, prior to the current academic year and have a GPA of at least 3.0 for the previous two semesters or three quarters.


Sixth-seeded Minnesota State will take on third-seeded Ohio State in the first round of the WCHA Tournament in a best-of-three series, March 1-3. The puck will drop Friday at 6:07 p.m. EST, Saturday at 3:07 p.m. EST and Sunday at 3:07 p.m. EST (if necessary).
