MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team (16-10) will return home for the final pair of regular season matches in the 2019 season. Friday night, the Mavericks host the Bemidji State Beavers at 6:00 p.m., before taking on the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles at 2:00 p.m., Saturday. The match Saturday will feature senior day festivities prior to first serve.
Mavericks at a Glance: The Mavericks enter the week with a 16-10 (9-9 NSIC) overall record after defeating #8 St. Cloud State 3-2 and dropping a 3-0 decision to #5 Minnesota Duluth last weekend.
Impact Mavericks: Minnesota State is being led on offense by senior outside hitter
Morgan Olson who has recorded 392 kills (4.67/s) while adding 51 blocks. Sophomore setter
Dana Schindler leads the way in assists with 777 (9.03/s). Seniors
Ashton Lee and
Anissa Janzig have recorded 66 and 73 blocks, respectively, on the defensive end.
Scouting Bemidji State: Bemidji State is located in Bemidji, Minn., and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Beavers are currently 7-19 on the season with a 4-14 conference record. Bemidji State is coached by Kevin Ulmer who is in his fourth year with the team.
As a team this season, Bemidji State is averaging 11.3 kills per set compared to its opponents 13.6. Additionally, the Beavers average 10.6 assists per set and 14.3 digs per frame.
Bemidji State is led on offense by Becky Schroeder who has recorded 249 kills on the season. Maddie Mackinac is the primary setter for the team and has 908 assists this season.

Scouting Minnesota Crookston: Minnesota Crookston is located in Crookston, Minn., and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagles are 4-22 this season with a 2-16 conference record. Minnesota Crookston is led by head coach Sarah Rauen who is currently in her third year with the team.
As a team this season, the Golden Eagles average 9.3 kills per set while their opponents notch 14.4. Minnesota Crookston also averages 8.5 assists per set and 14.7 digs per set.
Porsha Porath leads the Golden Eagle offense with 273 kills on the season. Sydney Kruisselbrink is the primary setter for Minnesota Crookston, having recorded 531 assists.
