MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Tuesday as it travels to Concordia-St. Paul. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
Minnesota State History: The 2017-18 season marks the 96th campaign as a varsity sport for Minnesota State men's basketball. The Mavericks are 1,327-883 (.600) in 2,210 games since the program's inception in the 1920-21 season. MSU capped its 33rd and final season as a member of the NCC in 2008 and owned a 283-267 (.515) record in 550 league games played. In the NSIC, MSU owns a 150-57 (.724) record to go with four regular-season championships and two tournament championships.
The Mavericks made their 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2016. MSU owns a 16-13 record (.551) in NCAA Tournament play, including an 85-81 win over MSU Moorhead and an 82-60 loss to Northwest Missouri State in the most recent trip to the tournament.
Against the Golden Bears: Tuesday's game between Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul marks their 31st all-time meeting, with MSU leading the series 23-7. MSU has won its last seven meeting against the Golden Bears, including a 93-68 win earlier this season. Head Coach

Senior
Chris Kendrix tallied 17 points and eight rebounds against CSP earlier this season, while sophomore
Kevin Krieger tallied 14 points and eight rebounds. As a team, MSU shot 50.8% from the field, including an 11-of-24 (.458) performance from three point land. The Mavericks also held a 38-27 advantage in rebounds.
Avan Ward scored a game-high 27 points, while Bryndan Matthews posted 15 points and seven rebounds. As a team, CSP shot 50% from the field. The Golden Bears also committed 13 turnovers.
Concerning the Mavericks: Minnesota State owns a 15-4 record, including an 11-2 NSIC record. MSU has won its last three games, including wins against Sioux Falls (99-82) and Southwest Minnesota State (72-70) last weekend at Taylor Center.
A total of five Mavericks are averaging more than 11 points per game this season, including senior
Charlie Brown who leads the MSU offense with 15.8 points per game. Sophomore
Kevin Krieger is averaging 15.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game as well.
As a team, the Mavericks are shooting 48.5% from the field, including a 42.9% clip from long range. MSU has also passed out 237 assists and forced 229 turnovers.

Concerning the Golden Bears: Concordia-St. Paul enters Tuesday night's game with a 3-16 record, including a 2-11 NSIC record. CSP is on a three game losing streak, including a pair of losses to Southwest Minnesota State (79-64) and Sioux Falls (85-64) at home last weekend.
As a unit, CSP is shooting 44.7% from the field and is averaging 67.9 points and 34.5 rebounds a game. The Golden Bears have also committed 260 turnovers.
Bryndan Matthews leads Concordia-St. Paul with an average of 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds a game this season. Avan Ward is averaging 14.7 points and 4.2 rebounds a game as well.
Joey James is in his fourth season as head coach of the CSP men's basketball team. He owns a 41-68 record.
