Thirteen Home Games Highlight 2026-27 Maverick Men’s Basketball Schedule

MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's basketball team will compete in 28 games during the upcoming 2026-27 season, including 13 games at home in Taylor Center.

The weekend of Nov. 13-14 sees the Mavericks open their season at the NSIC/MIAA Crossover in Kansas City, Mo. MSU opens with a 12:00 p.m. game against Missouri S&T, before finishing the weekend on Nov. 14, with a 4:00 p.m. contest against Washburn.

Minnesota State opens its home schedule on Nov. 17 as it takes on Dakota State at 7:00 p.m., in Taylor Center, before heading to Wisconsin Dells, Wis., to compete in the Dells Classic. MSU opens the Dells Classic on Nov. 20 with a 7:00 p.m. start vs. Lake Superior State, before finishing the trip on Nov. 21 at 1:00 p.m. against Northern Michigan.

MSU concludes the month of November with 5:30 p.m. conference road game at St. Cloud State on Nov. 24, before wrapping up the month at home against Waldorf at 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 28.

The month of December will see the Mavericks compete in six games before heading into winter break. Three games will be held in Taylor Center against Concordia-St. Paul on Dec. 3 (5:30 p.m.), Southwest Minnesota State on Dec. 17 (5:30 p.m.) and Sioux Falls on Dec. 19 (1:00 p.m.). MSU will also travel to Winona State on Dec. 5, Wayne State on Dec. 10 and Augustana on Dec. 12.

The new year will see Minnesota State compete in nine NSIC games, including five in Taylor Center. MSU opens the 2027 calendar year with three straight home games against St. Cloud State on Jan. 2 (1:00 p.m.), Minot State on Jan. 8 (5:30 p.m.) and UMary on Jan. 9 (3:30 p.m.). MSU will also play host to MSU Moorhead on Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. and Minnesota Crookston on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m.

MSU's road schedule in the month of January begins on Jan. 15-16 as it travels north to face Bemidji State at 5:30 p.m., before facing Minnesota Duluth in a 3:30 p.m. tip-off. The Mavericks close out the month of January with a pair of road games also as they head to Jamestown on Jan. 29 (5:30 p.m.) and Northern State on Jan. 30 (3:30 p.m.).

The month of February will see the Mavericks compete in their final six regular season contests of the season. Three of MSU's games in February will take place on the road as it travels to Sioux Falls on Feb. 4 (5:30 p.m.), Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 6 (2:00 p.m.) and Concordia-St. Paul on Feb. 18 (5:30 p.m.).

Minnesota State will host three games in Taylor Center in the month of February, starting with Augustana on Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. MSU then hosts Wayne State on Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m., before closing out its regular season schedule on Feb. 20 as it hosts Winona State at 1:00 p.m.

The first round of the NSIC Tournament is scheduled for Feb. 24 and will be hosted on campus sites. The final three rounds of the NSIC Tournament will be held from Feb. 27 – March 2 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The NCAA Central Region Tournament will be held on March 13-16, with its location to be determined, while the NCAA Elite Eight will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind., from March 23-27.
