MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State sophomore Michael Sandle has been named the USA Track & Field Minnesota Athlete of the Month for April.

A native of Eden Prairie, Minn., Sandle set an MSU record in the triple jump (52'-8.25")  at the Drake Relays which is the top jump in NCAA Division II and ninth across all divisions. Along with competing in the triple jump at the upcoming NCAA Championships, Sandle will also compete in 4x100m relay event.

The three-day NCAA Championships are scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 26, in Bradenton, Fla.
