DULUTH, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's team took part in a pair of NSIC duals this weekend as it fell to St. Cloud State 6-3, before defeating Minnesota Duluth 7-2.
Minnesota State now owns a 7-8 overall record, including a 5-4 NSIC record.
The Mavericks began their weekend with a 6-3 loss to the St. Cloud State Huskies on Saturday.
The Huskies were able to take two of the three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead. MSU's lone win in doubles competition came in the No. 1 doubles match as junior

Erin Streeter defeated Marilia Roque Diversi and Abigail Kantor 8-6.
The Mavericks were only able to win two of the six singles matches as the Huskies went on to claim the 6-3 win. Streeter defeated Kantor 7-6, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles match, before sophomore
Killian Doran rallied in the No. 3 singles match to defeat Diversi 0-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6).
MSU finished the weekend strong on Sunday as it defeated the UMD Bulldogs by the score of 7-2.
The Mavericks took an early 2-1 lead in the doubles matches against UMD. Mashburn and Streeter won their second No. 1 doubles match of the weekend as they defeated Drew DeCorsey and Kelsey Zetah 8-4. The duo of Doran and senior
Sarah McCann turned in an 8-3 victory in the No. 2 doubles match over Shelby Benkofske and Jillian Klasen as well.
The Mavericks then finished their dual against UMD winning five of the six singles matches to claim the 7-2 win.
Streeter earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over DeCorsey in the No. 2 singles match, while Doran turned in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kaitlin Wohnoutka in the No. 3 singles match. McCann and sophomore
Lisa Dobbelaere turned in the singles victories as well. McCann defeated Jillian Klasen 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth singles match, while Dobbelaere bested Zetah 6-1, 6-0 in the fifth singles match. Junior
Abby Schmidt earned a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) win over Rachel Menke in the No. 6 singles match.
The Mavericks return to action on Saturday as they take on Bemidji State in Owantonna, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m.
