Mankato, Minn – Mavericks effort was not enough against #10 Peacocks on Thursday night, as they fell, 27-10, at Taylor Center. MSU won three matches in the dual. 

Minnesota State (4-3,4-3 NSIC) suffered its first loss at home this season.  Upper Iowa (11-2, 6-0 NSIC) remains unbeaten in conference action.

#7 Da'Wayne Robertson (Jr., 125 lbs.) got the dual started off with a major decision win over previously undefeated Chris Paulus.  Alphonso Vruno (Jr., 141 lbs.) took his match into sudden victory before being taken down close to the edge of the mat.

#5 Adam Cooling (So., 157 lbs.) got points early in the first period with a takedown over #6 Jordan Rinken.  In the third period with the score 3-2 in favor of Rinken, Cooling suffered a fall at the 6:37 mark.  Cody Quinn (Sr., 165 lbs.) got MSU back into the winning column with a 12-5 decision win over #8 Colbey Vance.  Scott VanDeLoo (Jr., 197 lbs.) was the other member to get a win, a 2-1 decision.

Malcolm Allen (Jr., 285 lbs.) and #7 Logan Hopp both had escapes before heading into overtime.  After one sudden victory period, the grapplers were still tied.  In the second sudden victory, Hopp secured a win with two seconds of riding time. 

MSU will be back at Taylor Center with its last dual action of the season against Northern State.  Dual time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
