ST. PETER, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team got back on track Saturday afternoon as it defeated the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs 6-3.
With the win, MSU improves to 4-16 on the season, including a mark of 3-7 in NSIC action. With the loss, UMD drops to 1-9 on the season, including a mark of 1-8 in league play.
MSU began the day winning two of the three doubles matches.

Sarah McCann defeated Kara Saemann and Drew DeCorsey 8-2 in the No. 1 doubles match. The team of senior
Alexis Ronney and freshman
Melissa Mashburn also won the second doubles match over Bailey Kolles and Delaney Dobbs by the score of 8-3.
The Mavericks finished the day winning four of the six singles matches to secure their 6-3 win.
McCann won the No. 1 singles match over Saemann 6-2, 6-1, while Mashburn defeated DeCorsey 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match. Bakke bested Kolles 6-0, 6-0 in the third singles match, while freshman
Abby Schmidt won the fifth singles match 7-6, 6-3.
MSU concludes its regular season schedule Sunday as it takes on the Bemidji State Beavers in Sartell, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
