Jessica Bowe scored her second goal of the match in the 102nd minute to propel fourth-ranked Minnesota State to a 3-2 road victory over Augustana in the second overtime Sunday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition at Morstad Field.
MSU's third overtime win of the season improves it to 11-1-0 overall and 9-0-0 in NSIC play, good for sole possession of first-place. The Vikings fall to 8-4-0 on the year and 6-3-0 within the league. The Purple and Gold also extends its conference unbeaten streak to 29 matches, 14th-best in NCAA Division II all-time.

Jessica Bowe (Anoka, Minn.) notched her second marker of the season five minutes later with a header off a ball served in by Nickel giving MSU what would be a short lived one-goal lead. Forty seconds after Bowe's goal, a Maverick foul in the box awarded Pry a penalty-kick that she converted for her third goal of the year and second of the contest.
Neither team found the back of the net in the remaining 15 minutes of regulation sending the match to overtime with Minnesota State holding a 30-14 advantage in shots.
The first overtime was scoreless as well, but the combo of Bowe and Nickel struck again for the Mavericks in overtime number two. In the 102nd minute, Nickel's shot in front was deflected, and Bowe buried the rebound for her career-high second goal of the game carrying MSU to the 3-2 victory.
Nickel's pair of assists were a career-high, while her four points matched a career-best for MSU who outshot Augustana 37-16 on the day, including an 11-7 margin in shots on goal. Sophomore
Korey Kronforst (Cary, Ill.) had her seven-match point-scoring streak come to an end in the win.
Limmer registered a match-high eight saves for the Vikings, and McGough stopped five shots in a winning effort.
Minnesota State embarks on a five-match home stand beginning next weekend Friday, Oct. 18th with a 3 p.m. contest at The Pitch against St. Cloud State.
