Mankato, Minn. ---  The Minnesota State women’s basketball team has advanced to the 2010 Sanford Health/Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament which begins Wednesday evening.

The Mavericks finished the 2009-10 regular-season with a 15-12 record, including a 10-10 mark in the NSIC, which was good for eighth-place.  Minnesota State opens the event at top-seeded Concordia University.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.
