MANAKTO, Minn. --- Minnesota State head coach
Mike Turgeon has announced that
Emmanuel Dixon will join the Minnesota State track and field coaching staff.
"We are excited to welcome Emmanuel Dixon back to the Minnesota State Track and Field family," said Turgeon. "Emmanuel has built a reputation as an outstanding coach, recruiter, and mentor during his time coaching in the junior college ranks. As a two-time National Junior College Assistant Coach of the Year, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to develop student-athletes at the highest level while helping build nationally competitive programs.
"I have been incredibly impressed with Emmanuel's career since his days as a student-athlete at Minnesota State and throughout his transition into collegiate coaching. His ability to develop national-level student-athletes across multiple event disciplines and at multiple institutions is remarkable. That level of success speaks not only to his technical expertise as a coach, but also to his ability to connect with student-athletes and help them maximize their potential. His passion for student-athlete development, strong work ethic, and commitment to competitive excellence align perfectly with the culture we have established within our program. We are thrilled to have Emmanuel join the Maverick community and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes and our program for years to come."
"I am honored and excited to return home to Minnesota State," Dixon said. "This opportunity feels like a full-circle moment. As a former student-athlete here, Minnesota State helped lay the foundation for the coach and person I am today. To now return and contribute to a program that has meant so much to me is incredibly special."
