BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State's
Keaton Wattier and
Hayden Bills have earned NSIC weekly honors for their efforts last week.
Wattier was name the NSIC Track Athlete of the Week, while Bills was named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week.
A senior from Osmond, Neb.,
Keaton Wattier won the 110m hurdles at the
Tim Marshall Open with a time of 13.97. His time in the 110m hurdles is the 15th best in Division II. He also took 11th place in the 200m event with a time of 22.52.
A sophomore from Rosemount, Minn.,
Hayden Bills won the shot put event at the
Tim Marshall Open with a throw of 19.08m (62-7.25) which ranks second in Division II. He also won the discus event with a throw of 55.69m (182-8). This marks the third time Bills has been named the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week this season.
Minnesota State continues its season on May 7-9 at the NSIC Championships in Duluth, Minn.
