LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- Minnesota State junior defenseman Evan Murr has been a Second-Team All-American by CCM and American Hockey Coaches Association.

Murr, a native of Stillwater, Minn., scored a career-high 30 points this season (10-20—30). Over the course of his career in the Purple and Gold, Murr owns a 23-60—83 mark, that is tied for tenth all-time in scoring by a Maverick defenseman.

A two-time CCHA Defensive Player of the Year, Murr led CCHA blueliners with 20 points in conference play, scoring six goals with 14 assists. Posting a conference-best +17, he had one power-play goal and three game winners. Registering 71 shots, he blocked 28 defensively, while averaging 22:57 minutes per game. This season he notched five multi-point games, including three-assist outings against Lake Superior State (Nov. 15) and Northern Michigan on (Nov. 28).  Murr was also named the CCHA Defenseman of the Month twice as well as earning the CCHA Defenseman of the Week twice during the 2025-26 campaign.

Murr becomes the 51st player in program history to earn All-American honors (NCAA Division I, II and III) and the second under head coach Luke Strand, joining goaltender Alex Tracy who was a CCM/ACHA Second-Team All-American a year ago.

Minnesota State finished the 2025-26 season with a 22-11-7 record, winning the CCHA regular season and post season championships.
