BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State's Ghada Hamdani named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week for her efforts this past weekend.

A junior from Bizerte, Tunisia, Hamdani won the triple jump event at the ESU Spring Open with a jump of 12.53m (41-1.5). Her jump is the second-best in the Division II outdoor season this year.

Hamdani is the first Maverick to earn NSIC Field Athlete of the Year honors in the outdoor season since Noemie Thibaud did so back on April 29, 2025.

Minnesota State returns to action this weekend as it hosts the Stomper Open on Friday at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex. The Mavericks will also compete in the USD Early Bird in Vermillion, S.D. on April 3-4.
