NEW ORLEANS --- Minnesota State's
Miranda Lauvstad and
Brian Sebera have earned USTFCCCA national honors for their efforts during the indoor season.
Lauvstad was named the USTFCCCA Women's Indoor DII National Field Athlete of the Year, while Sebera was named the USTFCCCA Women's Indoor DII National Assistant Coach of the Year.
A senior from Nesoeya, Norway, Lauvstad earned USTFCCA All-Region honors in four events, including the 60m hurdles, the 200m, the long jump and the pentathlon. She also won the national championship in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships and finished second in the pentathlon. Lauvstad also tallied 18 points and was the high point scorer of the national meet.
Sebera is in his seventh season as a men's of the Maverick men's and women's track and field coaching staff. He was elevated to Associate Head Coach in the summer of 2025 and has helped the Mavericks win multiple NSIC men's and women's team championships. Sebera was named the NSIC Women's Assistant Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons as well.
