BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State's Natalie Bremer was named the 2025-26 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outstanding Senior of the Year for women's basketball, voted on by league coaches.

The NSIC Outstanding Senior of the Year Award is presented annually to a student-athlete who has competed at their institution for four years and has demonstrated excellence in both athletics and academics while making a positive contribution to their team, institution, and community. The award honors seniors who exemplify the attributes of the model NSIC student-athlete.

A native of Lake City, Minnesota, Bremer holds a 3.64 grade-point average while majoring in exercise science.

She has been recognized for her academic excellence throughout her collegiate career, earning NSIC All-Academic Team honors and a place on the Dean's List every semester. Bremer is also a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree and has been named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

Bremer closes her collegiate career as one of the most accomplished players in the history of Minnesota State women's basketball. She leaves as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,275 points, while also finishing first in field goals made (870), second in steals (324), and third in career scoring average at 17.8 points per game. Over her four years, she contributed to 110 Maverick victories, highlighted by the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championship, the 2024 NSIC regular season and tournament titles, the 2026 NSIC regular season championship, and multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

On the national stage, Bremer earned widespread recognition for her impact. She was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2024 NCAA Elite Eight and received Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American honorable mention honors in 2024-25. She also garnered D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team accolades and was selected to the NCAA Central Region All-Tournament Team. A three-time First Team All-NSIC performer and one-time Second Team honoree, Bremer was additionally named the 2025-26 NSIC South Division Preseason Player of the Year. Throughout her career, she collected multiple NSIC Player of the Week awards and was twice recognized as the Division II National Player of the Week.

Bremer was instrumental during one of the most successful stretches in program history, helping guide the Mavericks to a national championship, multiple NSIC titles, a program-record winning streak of more than 27 games, and a 32-win season that tied the school's single-season record.

In addition to her accomplishments on the court, Bremer has made a meaningful impact throughout the Mankato community. She has been actively involved with the Girls on the Run program, volunteered as a mentor and coach at youth basketball camps and practices, read to elementary school students, and taken part in various community outreach initiatives. Her service also includes volunteering at the campus food shelf, assisting with the Mankato Kiwanis Holiday Lights event, visiting with residents in senior living communities, and helping pack meals for children in need.

Bremer joins former teammate Joey Batt, becoming the second Maverick to earn the honor.

The Mavericks (27-1, 21-1 NSIC) and Bremer return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 28, to take on St. Cloud State (14-14) in the NSIC Quarterfinals. Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. inside the Sanford Pentagon. The game will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus ($).
