Several Mavericks Honored with Team Awards

MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State football team recognized the effort of several Maverick football players for their efforts this past season at their end of the year banquet.

Minnesota State finished its 2025 season with a 10-4 record as it advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. This marked the second straight season in which MSU advanced to at least the third round of the NCAA Tournament.

Jefferson Mobry as Linebacker/Nickel Player of the Year

Nathan Gribble as Offensive Lineman Player of the Year

Jamal Spiyee as Safety Player of the Year

Nassir Jones as Tight End Player of the Year

Jason Dandridge as Cornerback Player of the Year

TreShawn Watson as Wide Receiver Player of the Year

Cayden Lovett as Defensive Tackle Player of the Year

Mitchell Thompson as Quarterback Player of the Year

Marcus Hansen as Defensive End Player of the Year

Sam Backer as Running Back Player of the Year.

Jeffrey Ratliff as Defensive Scout Player of the Year

El Staley as Offensive Scout Player of the Year

Asa Poister as Special Forces Scout Player of the Year

Jefferson Mobry as Defensive Newcomer of the Year & Defensive Player of the Year

Maximus Sims as Offensive Newcomer of the Year

Connor Fournier as Specialist of the Year

Antoine Johnson as Special Forces Player of the Year

Sam Backer as Offensive Player of the Year.
