NEW ORLEANS - Minnesota State women's track and field came in at No. 5 in this week's USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field national ratings on Tuesday (Feb. 24). The Mavericks scored 149.57. The top five included No. 1 Pittsburg State, No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 West Texas A&M, No. 4 Adams State and No. 5 Minnesota State.
The Mavericks have 21 performances inside the national top-34. At the top of the list,
Miranda Lauvstad holds the No. 1 mark in long jump at a distance of 6.24m (20-5.75), set at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi on Jan. 31.
Ghada Hamdani also leads the nation in triple jump, with a mark of 12.93m (42-5) set at the Chuck Petersen Open on Dec. 5. Other top-5 individual marks include Lauvstad, No. 2 in Pentathlon,
Aubri Brown, No. 2 in weight throw and
Ashanti Harvey, No. 4 in 60 meter hurdles.
