MSU Finishes Regular Season Ranked #3 Nationally

LILBURN, Ga.Minnesota State moved to No. 3 in this week's WBCA Coaches Poll following the conclusion of the regular season. The Mavericks carry a 27-1 overall record and remain the highest-ranked team in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

MSU had held the No. 1 spot for two consecutive weeks and is currently the only NSIC program ranked inside the Top 25, although conference rival Concordia-St. Paul is receiving votes. Minnesota State collected six first-place votes in this week's poll, while Texas Woman's (24-1) climbed to No. 1 and Grand Valley State (25-1) rose to No. 2.

The Mavericks now turn their attention to postseason play, opening the NSIC Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28, with an 11 a.m. tipoff at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. Minnesota State earned a first-round bye after securing the NSIC Regular Season Championship and will face the winner of St. Cloud State and Sioux Falls in the quarterfinal round.
