NEW ORLEANS - Minnesota State men's indoor track and field was rated No. 5 in NCAA Division II at checkpoint #4 by USTFCCCA on Tuesday. Grand Valley State ascended to the top spot with a score of 226.54, followed by Wingate (205.12), Pittsburg State (188.68), Adams State (155.21) and Minnesota State (127.41). MSU was also rated No. 5 at checkpoint #3.
The Mavericks have 20 performances inside the top -34.
Jayden Singleton holds the No. 2 time in Division II 200 meters, at 21.35, set at the Chuck Petersen Open (Dec. 5).
Hayden Bills is No. 3 in shot put (19.09m, 62-7.5), also set at the Chuck Petersen Open.
Rinaldo Moore posted the fourth quickest 60 meter hurdle time at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi on Jan. 31 (7.86).
Keaton Wattier (60 meter hurdles),
Keshaun Black (60 meters) and Terrence Thomas (long jump) are all ranked fifth in the country in their respective events.
Minnesota State men's and women's track and field indoor season continues on Friday with the Maverick Open at Myers Field House. The teams will celebrate senior day at the meet.
