NEW ORLEANS - Minnesota State men's track and field maintained its position at No. 5 in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field National TFRI on Tuesday (Feb. 10). The Mavericks scored 132.64 points at Checkpoint #3, behind No. 1 Wingate (234.43), Grand Valley State (203.72), Pittsburg State (188.04) and Adams State (132.83).
The Mavericks have 19 individual performances inside the national top-33.
Jayden Singleton posted the No. 2 ranked 200 meters at the Chuck Petersen Open (Dec. 5) with a time of 21.35.
Hayden Bills is ranked No. 3 in shot put with a mark of 19.09m (62-7.5), also set at the Chuck Petersen Open.
Rinaldo Moore is ranked No. 4 in 60 meter hurdles with a time of 7.86 at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi (Jan. 31).
Terrance Thomas is also No. 4 in Division II long jump with a distance of 7.52m (24-8) at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi.
MSU's 4x400 meter relay group of
Quinton Ellis,
Rinaldo Moore,
Tyrel Robinson and
Qai Hussey are currently fifth in their event with a time of 3:11.59 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational last weekend.
Minnesota State men's indoor track and field hosts the Ted Nelson Classic on Saturday, February 14 at Myers Field House.
