BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State's
Kerdel Moses and
Dylan Gross have earned NSIC Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for their efforts at the ESU Spring Open this past weekend.
A sophomore from Linden, N.J., Moses won the 110m hurdles event at the ESU Spring Open with a time of 14.13. His time in the 110m hurdles in the ninth fastest in the Division II outdoor season this year.
A sophomore from Brainerd, Minn., Gross recorded a pair of provisional qualifying marks at the ESU Spring Open. He finished second in the shot put event with a throw of 18.17m (59-7.5) and second in the discus with a throw of 52.67m (172-10). His mark in the shot put ranks third in Division II, while his throw in the discus ranks 11th.
Minnesota State returns to action this weekend as it hosts the Stomper Open on Friday at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex. The Mavericks will also compete in the USD Early Bird in Vermillion, S.D. on April 3-4.
