MANHEIM, Pa. – The Minnesota State wrestling team was ranked sixth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Preseason Top 25 Poll, which was released Thursday. The Mavericks also placed three wrestlers in the individual preseason rankings, with junior Colton Hush and junior Dominic Ducato earning No. 1 rankings in their respective weight classes, while junior Cole Glazier was ranked third at 184 pounds.

The top spot in the preseason poll belongs to Glenville State, which had nine wrestlers ranked and is coming off a seventh-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Defending national champion Nebraska-Kearney is ranked second with six wrestlers in the national rankings, while NSIC affiliate member Wisconsin-Parkside sits third with four ranked wrestlers after finishing as the national runner-up in 2025. University of Mary is fourth, while Gannon rounds out the top five.

Minnesota State's sixth-place ranking gives the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference three teams among the nation's top six. Augustana enters the season ranked 16th, while St. Cloud State is 18th.
A native of Woodville, Wis., Hush earned the No. 1 ranking at 141 pounds, edging NSIC rival Sean Solis of Mary. Hush compiled a 30-12 record last season, including a 13-5 mark in dual competition. He earned NWCA Scholar All-America honors and secured All-America status on the mat with a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships. As a freshman, Hush was named NSIC Rookie of the Year after posting a 25-11 record and qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Ducato, a junior transfer from St. Cloud State, earned the top spot at 133 pounds entering the 2026-27 season. The Carpentersville, Ill., native posted a 49-9 record during his three seasons with the Huskies. Last season, he earned First Team All-NSIC honors, won the Super Region V championship and finished sixth at the NCAA Championships to earn All-America recognition.

Glazier, who also transferred to Minnesota State from St. Cloud State, is ranked third nationally at 184 pounds. McKendree's Darion Johnson holds the top spot, followed by Wisconsin-Parkside's Sullivan Ramos at No. 2.

A native of Kasson, Minn., Glazier amassed a 68-11 record during his three seasons with the Huskies. He earned All-America honors twice and placed eighth at the NCAA Championships in 2024 before finishing seventh nationally in 2026. Glazier was named All-NSIC Second Team in 2024 and earned First Team All-NSIC recognition in 2026.
