NEW ORLEANS - Minnesota State women's indoor track and field was rated No. 3 in NCAA Division II by USTFCCCA at checkpoint No. 1 on Tuesday.
Pittsburg State was the top rated team in the nation, followed by Grand Valley State, Minnesota State, Adams State and West Texas A&M. Fellow NSIC institution UMary appeared in the ratings at No. 23.
The Mavericks have competed in three meets this season, including the Chuck Petersen Open and the Bearson/Gathje Classic at home. Friday and Saturday, MSU hosts the Mark Schuck Open & Multi at Myers Field House, which features more than 20 schools from multiple NCAA divisions. Fans unable to attend can watch on the NSIC Network.
