NEW ORLEANS --- The Minnesota State women's track and field team has been ranked sixth at checkpoint five of the USTFCCCA Division II outdoor rankings.
The Mavericks are the highest rated NSIC team. West Texas A&M tops the ranking in first, with Pittsburg State and Grand Valley State following in second and third, respectively.
Ghada Hamdani ranks second in the high jump with a jump of 12.85m (42-2), while
Miranda Lauvstad ranks third in both the heptathlon (5,671) and the long jump (6.25m, 20-6).
Minnesota State returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts the Todd Pfingsten Open at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
