Women’s Basketball Schedule Update

MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State women's basketball has added a home game against University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday, November 14 at 6 p.m. CT at Taylor Center. The regular season, non-conference matchup will serve as the Mavericks' home opener after the team returns from the 2025 D2CCA Tip-off Classic in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, the previous week.

The Mavericks have also moved the start time on November 1 to 4 p.m. CT. The Mavericks host University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in an exhibition at Taylor Center.

The Mavericks are 1-1 all-time against the Blugolds but have not played a regular season game against one another since 2011. MSU defeated UW-Eau Claire 59-50 at Taylor Center.

Minnesota State women's basketball finished the 2024-25 season 25-8 overall, including 18-4 in NSIC play and 12-0 at home. The Mavericks hosted UW-Eau Claire in an exhibition contest last season on Nov. 1. Head coach Emilee Thiesse is in her 14th season at the helm. She guided the team to their second NCAA Division II National Championship in 2023-24.

UW-Eau Claire plays as a member of NCAA Division III in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). Last season, the Blugolds finished 8-17 overall.
