Bremer and Schweim Earn 2025 CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Minnesota State junior guards Natalie Bremer and Mackenzie Schweim were both named to the CSC Academic All-District Team in 2025 for their outstanding accomplishments on the court and in the classroom.
 
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To be eligible for the All-District team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and boast at least a 3.50 GPA. Basketball nominees must compete in at least 90% of the institution's games or start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
 
Bremer, an exercise science major at Minnesota State who earned a 3.62 GPA, averaged 20 points, five rebounds and 2.7 steals per game for the Mavericks in 2024-25. The Lake City, Minn. native was named to the NSIC All-Conference First Team for the second-straight year, named to the D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team and was an All-American Honorable Mention. She was the team's leading scorer, as Bremer tallied the fourth-best scoring season in program history and in the process moved into fourth in all-time scoring at Minnesota State. Her name is starred in the CSC's list, meaning Bremer will be advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
 
Schweim is a communications sciences and disabilities major at MSU with a cumulative GPA of 3.62, as well. The Mankato native started in 31 of the team's 33 games in 2024-25, as she averaged 7.3 points, three rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest. Schweim was second on the team in three-pointers made and was a key contributor to the Mavericks' full-court press defense. One of her best games of the season came against Wayne State; She scored 12 points on 2-4 shooting from deep, grabbed seven rebounds and had two steals.
