2025-26 Maverick Women’s Basketball Schedule Headlined by 13 Games at Taylor Center

MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team will compete in 27 regular season games in the upcoming 2025-26 season, including 13 at home in Taylor Center.

Last season, MSU went 25-8 as it made its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Mavericks also went 12-0 at home last season and own a 23-game winning streak at Taylor Center dating back to Nov. 25, 2023.

"The 2025-26 schedule has shaped up to be an exciting one," head coach Emilee Thiesse said. "We are looking forward to opening the regular season at the Division II CCA Tip-off Classic in Erie, Pa., where all eight teams competed in the NCAA Tournament last year. Great Competition will give us a valuable measuring stick for where we are at and where we want to go.

"A couple of return games from Colorado School of Mines and UW-Parkside will bring quality opponents into Taylor Center as we head into the always grueling NSIC schedule. Expectations remain high and we feel that this schedule will position us well for postseason opportunities."

MSU will square off with UW-La Crosse in an exhibition contest at Taylor Center on Nov. 1 at 3:00 p.m., before heading out to Erie, Pa., to compete in the 2025 D2CCA Tip-off Classic. The Mavericks will face three opponents and game times for Nov. 7-9 are to be determined.

Minnesota State closes out the month of November with three games at Taylor Center. MSU welcomes in Colorado School of Mines on Nov. 21 for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off, before opening NSIC action against St. Cloud State on at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 25. The Mavericks then wrap up their nonconference schedule on Nov. 29 vs. UW-Parkside, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.

MSU opens December of the road as it travels to Winona State on Dec. 4 for a 7:30 p.m. game. The Mavericks follow their game with the Warriors with three games back home at Taylor Center. MSU opens the homestand on Dec. 6 vs. Concordia-St. Paul at 5:30 p.m., before facing Wayne State on Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The Mavericks finish their homestand on Dec. 13 against Augustana at 5:30 p.m.

Minnesota State finishes the 2025 calendar year with a pair of road games at Southwest Minnesota State on Dec. 18 and at Sioux Falls on Dec. 20. Tip-offs are set for 7:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., respectively.

January will see the Mavericks compete in nine games, including four in Taylor Center. MSU opens the new year with games at St. Cloud State on Jan. 3 (5:30 p.m.), at UMary on Jan. 9 (7:30 p.m.) and at Minot State on Jan. 10 (5:30 p.m.).

The Mavericks then return home for the longest homestand of the season. The action begins on Jan. 16 as MSU hosts Minnesota Duluth at 7:30 p.m., before taking on Bemidji State on Jan. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Minnesota State then follows up with a 5:30 p.m. game against Northern State on Jan. 23, before wrapping up against NSIC newcomer Jamestown on Jan. 24 at 3:30 p.m.

MSU concludes January with two road games on Jan. 30-31. The Mavericks begin with a 5:30 p.m. game at Minnesota Crookston, before finishing the month at MSU Moorhead with a 3:30 p.m. contest.

The Mavericks wrap up their regular season schedule with six games in February, including three at home. The Mavericks open the month at home vs. Sioux Falls on Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m., before taking on Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. MSU then travels to Augustana on Feb. 12 and Wayne State on Feb. 14 for a pair of games set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.

Feb. 19 will see the Mavericks wrap up their regular season home schedule against Winona State at 5:30 p.m., before they travel to Concordia-St. Paul for a 3:30 p.m. game on Feb. 21 to wrap up the regular season.

The first round of the NSIC Tournament is scheduled for Feb. 25 as will hosted at campus sites. The final three rounds will be held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. from Feb. 28 – March 3.

The NCAA Central Region Tournament will begin on March 13-16 (site to be determined). The NCAA Elite Eight will be held at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa. from March 24-28.
