MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State football team begins fall practice on Monday, August 4.
"Excited to pick up where we left off from last year and begin a new journey in 2025," said head coach
Todd Hoffner. "We have a strong contingency of returning players whom experienced the national semifinals of the NCAA Division II Football Tournament in 24'. We have also been very active in the recruitment of gifted & talented players whom we expect to make an early in impact in 25'.
"With a very difficult early schedule we will have to be on our A-Game to get things started properly. Excited to represent the Maverick nation at Blakeslee Stadium!"
Starting on Monday, the Mavericks take part in 16 practices, leading up to the first day of school on Monday, August 25.
Minnesota State opens its 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 28, as it hosts the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Blakeslee Stadium.
