PUEBLO, Colo. – Minnesota State's domination over the women's 100 meter hurdles continued for another season on Saturday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl.
Grace Johnson was crowned national champion with a blistering time of 13.04 (w:2.1).
Adeyah Brewster came in third with a time of 13.28 and
Ashanti Harvey crossed the line fifth with a time of 13.37 as all three earned First Team All-America honors.
The Mavericks totaled 32 points over the three-day meet to finish sixth, with 20 points in 100 meter hurdles, seven in triple jump, three in hammer throw and two in discus throw. Johnson's title marked the fourth straight season a Minnesota State student-athlete has topped the podium in 100 meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Grand Valley State won the team National Championship with 60 points and topped Adams State (59), Pittsburg State (54.5), West Texas A&M (35) and Fresno State (35).
Lillian Washington also competed on Saturday and posted a fourth-place finish in triple jump for First Team All-America. On her third jump, Washington set a season best mark at 12.93m (42-5.25).
Stella Neophytou (12.81m, 42-0.5) also placed seventh (First Team All-America) and
Ghada Hamdani came in ninth (12.76m, 41-10.5)(Second Team All-America).
"Our coaching staff is really proud of how well our team competed," said head coach
Mike Turgeon. "This marks the fifth consecutive year our women's team has finished in the top six at the NCAA Championships. Our women's hurdlers and triple jumpers also had a great meet, helping set us up for a strong sixth-place finish."
FRIDAY
Elise Jensen set a personal best to finish seventh (First Team All-America) in discus throw. Jensen threw 49.64m (162-10) on her second attempt.
Viktoriia Ermolaeva accumulated 3,393 points in heptathlon to finish 14
th (Second Team All-America).
Noemie Thibaud finished in a tie for 10
th (Second Team All-America) in high jump at a height of 1.68m (5-6).
Esaba Okwaramoi was 12
th in 100 meter hurdles prelims with a personal best time of 13.55 (Second Team All-America), while
Noemie Thibaud came in 18
th with a time of 14.19. Johnson, Brewster and Harvey qualified first, fifth and sixth for the finals respectively.
THURSDAY
Lily Beneke cemented First Team All-American status with a sixth place finish in hammer throw for the Mavericks. Beneke threw 57.64m (189-1) on her fifth attempt.
Molly Kahl finished 14
th (Second Team All-America) in long jump with a distance of 5.89m (19-4) and
Adeyah Brewster took 15
th (Second Team All-America) with a mark of 5.87m (19-3.75). Brewster also posted a 12
th place performance in 100 meter prelims with time of 11.47 (Second Team All-America).
Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and as part of a relay team at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships earned First-Team All-America honors. Those who finished ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay team were named Second-Team All-America.
