NEW ORLEANS – Minnesota State women's outdoor track and field was rated No. 5 in Tuesday's USTFCCCA Division II National Ratings Index. The Mavericks scored 310.75, behind No. 1 Pittsburgh State, No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 West Texas A&M and No. 4 Adams State.
MSU was the top rated team in the Northern Sun with 38 individual marks ranking inside the top 50 in NCAA Division II, along with two relay events.
Adeyah Brewster and
Grace Johnson continued to rank No. 1 in NCAA Division II in 100 meter hurdles.
Miranda Lauvstad maintained her top position in long jump.
Others with top five marks include Lauvstad (fourth in heptathlon) and
Noemie Thibaud (fourth in high jump).
Minnesota State men's and women's track and field competes next on Wednesday, April 30 when it hosts the Maverick Open #1 at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
